I'm just going to just copy and paste because I've already explained my reasons for not being a big fan of Juvia in multiple posts and I don't feel like explaining it again so I'll just post it here: But atp in the 100yq I’ve more or less given up on her. Maybe find someone who actually loved her back, focused on friendships or just learned to be strong and confident on her own by working through her traumas and evolving in her magic powers. I really wish she would’ve moved on from her obsession after an arc or two, when gray made it clear he wasn’t interested. ![]() I hate when women’s literally only character trait is about a man, which juvia has sadly become now. And it’s to an extent that’s not at all realistic and also feels borderline misogynistic. Many others have mentioned it, but I feel like the second she fell for gray she lost all sense of self and independence. Tbh I preferred her better when she was “evil” as she felt more genuine and her magic was super well portrayed. I really like her original character, but it feels like there’s barely anything left of it now. Her obsession with gray was barely funny the first time and is atp irritating as hell and bordering on just psycho and creepy/harassing behaviour. ![]() Like she could literally be invincible with her water body and attacks, but she just? Doesn’t care? I don’t know honestly. One of the most nerfed characters to a point that makes me legitimately pissed off. Fairy Tail might have ended its original manga and anime runs quite a while back, but fans of Hiro Mashima's massive action franchise have helped to keep the spirit of the series alive in plenty of major ways.
